Buddhist Monks preside over the wedding while everyone sits on the floor.

The day before we moved out of the village, there was a wedding.  Here is the wedding pary marching to the bride's house.

Dear family and friends, In April we moved out of the village of Khok Sa-at.  It was an exciting time though sad to be leaving many friends.  The kids will really miss our dog Cheerio.  But we were happy to think about all the good work that had gone on in the past 14 months. We moved all of our stuff from the vilalge to a house we are renting in Sakon Nakhorn.  Then we drove to Chiang Mai for our annual SIL conference.  We always enjoy the SIL conference where we get to be with field workers from all over Asia.  There were about 350 people attending this year.  Our kids love conference as they are free to eat and play with their friends.  They have a great VBS program and enjoy swimming. Then on April 15th, we left for the US for a 6 month home assignment.  It was a good trip though, as always, very long (34 hours total). We will be staying at Tom's parent's house in Eagan and at a lake cabin in Grantsburg WI. Thank you for your prayers

The kids enjoyed the VBS program put on by a group of volunteers from the US.

We made it back to the US on April 16th.  Joy took off the next day for a homeschool conference in Duluth, MN.  We got over jet lag quickly and have been enjoying being with family and friends.  The weather has been a bit cooler than we anticipated. We will return to Thailand on Oct. 16th.
