Ellie's Birthday Party - Happy 4 years old!

Dear family and friends,

In February, we went to Chiang Mai for a homeschool conference at Grace School.  We had a wonderful time meeting with other homeschool families living in Thailand.  We also had planning meetings which lasted a week.  It was good for our kids to get a chance to play with other English speaking kids at the Juniper Tree resort in Chiang Mai.

After we returned to the village, Tom worked hard to finish a 3000 word Tri-lingual dictionary.  It took a lot of time to make translations of the many examples into Thai.  The three languages are B.,Thai and English.

March was our last month in the village.  Joy spent some time taking pictures of the village so this page will have more pictures than normal.

Blessings to you and thank you for your prayers

Right: Zach reads to his little sister.
Left: Ellie learns to ride on two wheels.  Seems a bit early to be giving someone a ride.

Left: The local gas station with gos dispensed in Pepsi bottles.
Left: A typical village house.

Right: The "schoolbus" that brought many kids to Ellie's preschool.
Left: The sign says, "Khok Sa-at village." The buffalo is on its way to forage.

Right: The kids enjoy some time with our dog Cheerio.  They will miss her.
Tom, Gabin and Thongbai at work on the dictionary.
We presented the finished dictionary to headman Linn in the Na Lao village.
Here are some schoolboys enjoying the school break by hunting lizzards and cicadas.  Both can be sold in the local market, but it is a lot of work!
