Dear family and friends,
The highlights of September were JoAnna's birthday and a team meating in the nearby city of Udon Thani. JoAnna's birthday was pretty low key this year, with just a few friends coming over to share the doll cake Joy made.
The team meeting we had in Udon was a good time of planning for furture growth in language projects for Thailand and nearby countries. We had a chance to share our project with others in our group and to hear what they are up to. During a part of the meetings, Joy watched the kids and had them perform a play. They had a great time making props and practicing their parts. At the end of our meetings, they gave a wonderful show.
Tom also took a drive with a Thai pastor to visit some property that will possibly be a future translation office in the city of Mukdahan. It was good to spend 4 hours in the car with a Thai pastor and get to know him better. The pastor was very patient with Tom's Thai and was kind enough to do most of the talking. It was while visiting the property that we discovered the grazing water buffalo below.
